Sugar Cane- The mutton tenderizer and smell remover

Boil your cube shape (after slicing) mutton with fresh sugar cane juice(box sugar cane wont work eg drinho or yeos as it is artifical sugar cane). then remove the mutton and can use the mutton to cook curry. Sugar cane will tenderize the mutton and also remove the mutton smell.

BEER -Tenderizer alternative

Next time if you run out of tenderizer , you can use beer instead. Marinate your steak overnight with beer or soak it for hour plus before cooking. Chef in restaurant use red wine as steak tenderizer . Red Wine serves 2 function-tenderizer and flavour

Timber stocks on focus

Hwang DBS Vickers Research said there could be rotational trading activity in CONSTRUCTION [] counters today following a news article speculating that Bina Puri (and its unlisted joint venture partner UEM Group) is on the verge of clinching the third package to build a new low cost carrier terminal valued at RM1.1 billion.

Bina Puri and its partner might have beaten other contenders such as Sunway Construction, MRCB, Fajarbaru and Gadang Holdings-PPC joint venture, it said.

Timber stocks were the gainers, with Cymao up 24 sen to 90 sen but with only 200 shares done, Subur Tiasa rose 24 sen also to RM2.52, Jaya Tiasa 17 sen to RM3.92, Lingui 16 sen to RM1.36, Ta Ann 15 sen to RM5.95 while WTK added 11 sen to RM1.34.

Ajinomoto rose 28 sen to RM4.22 as it is seen as a promising consumer stock. The Edge weekly reported the market had not recognized Ajinomoto as a as a growth consumer stock.

Proton added 21 sen to RM4.74 on expectations of a tie-up with Volkswagen. OSK Research kepts a Buy call on Proton with target price of RM5.90.

Tooth Paste

1)Remove dirt in basin. Toothpaste contains fine abrasive properties which is suitable to clean basin , jacuzzi , etc as it clean your tooth. Squeeze the toothpaste into your basin or jacuzi and scrub it with sponge. My informer told me that some jacuzi maintenance guys use toothpaste to clean your jacuzi and they charge exorbitant price for that.

2)The next time you go for a holiday and swimming with your goggle and found that it is foggy, just go to your hotel room and coat it with toothpaste. Then wipe it off. A clear goggle can prevent accident.

SALT

Use of Salt

1)Sprinkle some salt on your newly prepared salad. The salt will make your salad crisp for few hours

2)Put in a pint of salt the next time u whip/beat eggs.You will notice the beaten egg will rise more and also more firm if you going to cook it.

3)Relief sting of mosquitoes bite. Soak the area of bites with salt water. Then apply vegetable oil. This is alternative if you house run out of Mopiko

4)Salt water also can be use to isolate fresh eggs. Dissolve 3 tablespoon or salt with 1 cup of water. Put in the eggs. The fresh egg will sink.

5)To avoid hard peeling of boiled egg, add in a tablespoon salt into the water that you going to boil with the egg.

6)Oh ya.. , I share my recipee to make salt egg. Put in several eggs into a jar. Cover the jar with salt until the salt cover all the eggs.The more salt, the better. Then pour in water just to cover all eggs. Leave it for 3 months. There goes your salt egg.

7)Hong Kong singer Andy Lau family used to operate a chinese restaurant. He share his secret to make smooth coffee. Throw in the shell of the egg when you make coffee. Of cos you need to remove the egg shell when you serve the coffee.

The map is supplied by Ho Chin Soon , which are the retailer map supplier. I went to a property fair in KLCC last year 1 map(15' X 15') by Ho Chin Soon can be sold at RM 5000.00!

Attended ATIC , 2 days convention. It is highly recommended for those newbies in share market.

The opening is exciting with the 3 times hit on the 'gong' by yang Berbahagia Dato' Yusli Mohd Yusoff, CEO of Bursa Malaysia( a tall , handsome , smiling face and humble guy), along with Nextview CEO, Mr Stephen Lai.After the 'gong' , it follow with some 'high spirit' music.
Then it follow with panel discussion with panelist Ahmad Abdullah(Executive director of Asia Analytica S/B), Mr Lee Cheng Hooi(Head of Retail Research, Equity Market, Maybank), Ms Lorraine Tan( Vice President of Equity research , Standard & Poor from Singapore) and Mr Rajiv Vijendran (Director and head of Equity capital Markets, Maybank Investment Bank who involve in Maxis, Astro, Airasia, YTL Power , Plus IPO)
Mr Mark Laudi (CEO of Investor Central, award winning journalist, broadcaster, 7 years career in CNBC Asia Pacific) is the moderator who hold the audience in interest and post valuable question to the panelist.
I get the chance to meet Singapore famous Alvin Conrad Lim , Malaysia property queen Renesial Leong, Carol Yip, Stewart Labrooy(CEO of Axis REIT), Daryl Guppy(founder of guppytraders.com , Alan Hull(creator of Hull Moving Average), Mirriam MacWIlliams (who turn USD10k to USD2million in 2 years, Fred KH Tam (1st Malaysian recipient of Master of Financial Analysis), Mr Lee Cheng Hooi (The Edge 2009 1st runner up, Senior Manager of Head of Retail Research Maybank) and many others.
Just to share what i learned from the convention

Careful of KLCI , many foresee it will be in a mark down stage(trending down) . It has done the accumulation , mark up and distribution stage.
The pattern of trading for this year should be defensive as many foresee trending down.
Pick stocks that have big cap or blue chip , govt related share , high yield , agriculture related esp palm oil, construction/property and inflation driven stock.
Govt related share eg TNB
High yield - REITS (reits stocks is well known for high dividen payout and it is the first stocks that will see improvement when the economy improves, a lot investor buy reits as hedging)
Agriculture related eg Sime Darby, IOI (outlook on palm oil is bright)
Construction/Property eg Glomac , Sunrise(Asia still booming , a lot construction still taking place)
Inflation driven is like Merc , Pfizer(but we dont have those stock in Malaysia. Those stock is inflation driven as to say the price is higher as inflation increase. Non inflation driven product eg dvd player. A dvd cost much much cheaper in times to come and even when inflation increase.
Defence stock - also cant buy in Msia as we do not manufacture any missile.

Really worth it esp with free ticket and yet you can learn some basic techniques from the well known, respected speaker, most of them are CEO. A very good exposure.
Btw , there is no hardsell inside the convention. i know most of us are being caught by hardsell in attending preview and feel very uncomfortable.It doesnt happen in the convention.
Oh ya..I dont like the food there. It is overly priced. I ate mee jawa , selling at rm5.99, tax rm 2!. End up paying rm8.99 for one regular mee jawa. The taste also nothing to be proud of. Mineral water , small bottle, 500ml selling at rm2, tax. 0.30 cents. Next time if you decided to go, remember to bring your own water or buy outside. Carefour , Tesco or Giant selling at less than rm 1! 50cts also can get .

Lemon to clean microwave?

Having hard time to clean your microwave wall from crust, debris of sticky food? Well, try lemon.
Squeeze half a lemon into 2 cups of water in a bowl(microwaveable). Then set the microwave to high for 10 minutes.
Then wipe the wall of the microwave with a piece of cloth.
You should be able to remove it easily.
I usually use this method to clean my microwave and it works perfectly well. I have no choice as my microwave does not comes with steam clean features. So , have to resort to some Macgyver method.
I saw in his movie , he drop an egg into the car radiator to stop water leakage but I never try it before.

KLSE bullish or bearish?

Aug 2009 to December 2009- Rubber stocks climb and advance eg topglove, rubberex - synthetic rubber cost more than natural rubber . Thus tyre makers change to use natural rubber to manufacturer tyre. Other rubberbase manufacturer also resort to use cheaper natural rubber.

Nov 2009 to December 2009- Semiconductor stocks climbing eg unisem, mpi , gtronic. Well , computer old stock cleared- new order of semiconductor material to produce new computers, Win 7 solve Win Vista problem, Intel report profit.

Jan 2010 - fund manager will buy stocks and relocate their stocks on early of each year( first quarter)and stock will see some climbing. Some say new year rally or Chinese New Year rally.

Mid of Jan 2010- profit taking for Chinese New Year. usually happen 1 or 2 weeks before CNY.

Feb 2010 - bad, all run like chicken esp on speculative stocks

Mac 2010 - Index link stock climb .KLCI up 12 points on 3 Mac 2010 with high volume 1.05 billion share traded( strength shown in volume)but 398 counters down, 355 counters up- market is unsure, cannot see the trend
2 Mac 2010 KLCI up 4.6 to 1288 with 839 million share traded, Decliners 405 , Advancers 323 counter. KLCI index related stock perform but low liners still struggling- trend still unclear. Retailers still stay watch and see
3 Mac 2010 KLCI down 1.9 points with 863 million share traded, Decliners lead advancer with 402 decliner and 294 advancer. Still no confident on the market
4 Mac 2010 KLCI down 2 points with 726 million share traded, Decliners lead advancer with 385 decliner and 281 advancer. Still no confident on the market and hazy. Punters start hit on CIMB after it announce 1 to 1 bonus issue.
5 Mac 2010 KLCI up 15 points to 1299!with 941 million share traded . Advancer lead decliner by 547 to 194. Retail participate in the market. Trend start bullish with KLCI break its resistance
8 Mac 2010 KLCI up 24 points to 1324!with 1.16 billion share traded . Advancer lead decliner by 583 to 194. Retail participate in the market. This is confirmation KLSE is bullish again. Finance share shoot up by 300 points . Of cos la..BLR going to increase.Bank will earn more.
9 Mac 2010 KLCI down 6 points due to profit taking with 797 million share traded. Decliner lead advancer by 455 to 253 counter. This is expected as Monday was a gap up and profit taking will happen
10 Mac 2010 KLCI up 10 points at 1328 with 934 million share traded. Advancer lead decliner by 451 to 292 counters. 1328 is 2 year high on KLCI.Market bullish.But just be careful. Got a feeling KLCI is high already and not convince for the recent hike lately.

Bullish for how long? Only god know. Do remember World Cup in June will have effect on share market. As for now, take profit for short term play.

Just share my humble view on basic and trend of KLCI. Speculator will generally look at the KLCI, volume , Advancer and Decliner before enter market. As a general rule volume with 50 million share or below is consider 'no strength'
I can be wrong.
